The main figure of the La Libertad Avanza party, with Karina Milei, led a massive membership drive in the City of Buenos Aires. The event took place in the Villa Devoto neighborhood starting at 5 PM, coinciding with the Federal anti-fascist march in protest of President Javier Milei's controversial comments at the Davos Forum.
In addition to "El Jefe", as the President's sister is known, other prominent leaders of Mileismo attended. They included Congresswoman Lilia Lemoine, the new head of the bloc in CABA, Pilar Ramírez (who replaced the ousted Ramiro Marra), and the Director of Audiovisual Productions at the Presidency, Santiago Oría.
With this event at the start of the electoral year, the government aims to gain political weight in the City of Buenos Aires, a territory that has been dominated by PRO in recent years. These activities are being carried out amid negotiations between the government and the space led by Mauricio Macri regarding the electoral strategy for the upcoming legislative elections.
